Spreading Your Wings
When we are ready to fly with Christ we must first spread our wings. We need a wingspan that encompasses every thing from daily prayer to overcoming temptation. With beaming light around us and showcasing the most lustrous new demeanor to the world, we are graceful women of Christ.
Day 14- The fork in the road
Today we have a choice. We have a choice to not sit with one leg on either side of the fence anymore. Our bodies were not meant to be like the bobber on the end of a fishing pole where we just dance around on the waters surface most of the time, but then in an instant get sucked underneath into the dark. Which side of the fork are you traveling down? Or have you not picked a side yet? Maybe you have one foot on one path and the other foot on another path. Let me tell you, God is not impressed. But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! (Revelation 3:16) It is important to understand that we are all sinners by nature, but that does not mean using God’s grace as a license to sin. We need to be waking up every morning and striving for that perfect day. Although we will never be sinless, that needs to be our goal. Let’s think to ourselves that maybe today we can be perfect for Jesus and if we don’t succeeded today then maybe tomorrow and so on and so forth. The most powerful tool we have here is God Himself. Go to Him in times of frustration and trouble, pray to Him in times of sorrow and depression, sing to Him in times of praise and worship, and love Him always even when we are unsure of what He holds for us in the future.
Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. –Matthew 12:30
Lord, Thank you for your sacrifice that saved us. We are not worthy of anything You give, we are sinners and with Christ’s blood we have been saved. Halleluiah! Give us the strength to stay on Your narrow path even when times are tough. Share with us Your knowledge and help us to understand Your word so that we can use it in times of need. You are our rock. We are nothing without You. Let us never forget that.
This woman knows her path. My faithful grandmother looking out over Jerusalem.
